As part of our final project for Guerrilla PR with Professor David Gerzof Richard, I led a two-person team in collaboration with Studson, an innovative PPE helmet company aiming to expand its B2B presence in the Northeast construction market. We met weekly over Zoom with Studson’s founder and CEO, Ryan Barnes, whose personal story of overcoming a traumatic head injury shaped the brand’s mission to deliver life-saving helmet technology. Our objective was to help the company strategically connect with contracting and construction firms while increasing brand visibility among end users.
Guerilla PR | Studson Helmet B2B Expansion
Emerson College | Spring 2022

In my leadership role, I helped guide the development of a comprehensive PR strategy—including SWOT and competitor analyses, media audits, targeted press pitches, and the creation of a guerrilla marketing concept we named The Studson PPE Stretch n’ Flex. This on-site activation proposed a dynamic, safety-first experience that blended product demonstrations, worker engagement, and live content capture. The campaign not only aligned with Studson’s core values but also positioned the brand for grassroots credibility. Our final presentation earned high praise, and several of our recommendations were later adopted—highlighting the campaign’s potential for real-world impact.
